Joseph N. Omick
Vice President
Joseph N. Omick ("Joey") obtained his undergraduate degree from Hampden-Sydney College before going to law school and graduating from the T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 2015. Joey started with the Hanover Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in 2016 and currently leads the General District Court team as a Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney. Joey has continued to serve the citizens of Hanover County by prosecuting all types of felonies and misdemeanors in the District and Circuit Courts. In 2022, he was the recipient of the Hanover County Bar's Nina K. Peace award.
John Working
Secretary
John Mark Becton (“John Mark”) grew up in Henrico County and graduated from Godwin High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport University with a double major in political science and philosophy as well as a minor in leadership studies. John Mark graduated from Liberty University School of Law where he served as vicechair of the Moot Court Board and won the law school’s first national moot court championship award along with a second-place award for legal writing skills.

John Mark has extensive experience in both the public and private sector. As a Virginia Magistrate for the City of Richmond, he addressed criminal and mental health matters for the public. In private practice, John Mark counsels clients through both litigation and drafting matters, including criminal and traffic defense, landlord and tenant disputes, estate drafting, and business formation.

John Mark is a follower of Jesus Christ, loving husband and father. He enjoys diving, hunting, hiking and camping.
John Working focuses on criminal and traffic defense, juvenile advocacy, family law and estate planning.
Mr. Working is known for his fierce work ethic and desire to help those who cannot help themselves. His inspiration to defend others came from a chance meeting with a sitting Justice of the United States Supreme Court who instructed him to, “Never stop helping others.”
John has trial experience in both state and federal court. Since opening The Railside Law Group in Ashland, John has prided himself on his calm demeanor while battling in trial and effectively communicating with his clients to ensure their best outcomes.

Leah Han
Leah Dubuisson Han is a graduate of the University of South Alabama and the T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. After graduating law school in 2015, Leah clerked for Judge Joseph J. Ellis in the Spotsylvania Circuit Court, and then practiced family law in Fredericksburg for several years.
Leah joined the Hanover County Attorney’s Office in 2021 and serves as Deputy County Attorney. Leah represents the Hanover County School Board and the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. She has also represented Hanover Fire-EMS, the Community Services Board, Parks and Recreation, and IT. Leah routinely volunteers her time to judge trial advocacy competitions for the University of Richmond and is the current Vice Chair of the Local Government Section of VADA.
